Motion from Lotus re SLAAFWS Donation - Approved

Motion: To make a $500 dollar donation to SLAAFWS to either the new “Life Saver” fund, the “Prudent Reserve” fund, the FWS general giving fund, or the ABM Scholarship fund (for International Delegates of next year’s ABM) at the discretion of the Officer group.

Motion from Lotus re Prudent Reserve - Approved

Motion: That SLAA Online keeps 6 months of funds in prudent reserve which may be used in urgent matters at the discretion of the SLAA Online Officers (i.e. to cover shortfall for a delegate, or other emergent matters). This would bring the prudent reserve to $180.

Motivation: It is recommended by many SLAA intergroups that 4-6 months of donations be held in prudent reserve. SLAA FWS (Fellowship-Wide Services) keeps one year of operating expenses in prudent reserve. Six months seems to be a prudent amount considering all the facts and data. For info: Current prudent reserve is $140.

Motion from NancyD re Extension of Officer Mandates - Approved

Motion: To extend without elections 2020 the mandate period for currently elected Officers July 2019-June 2020 to June 30, 2021.

Additional Officers may as always be co-opted during this period as wished.

Currently elected Officers July 2019-June 2020 are as follows:

troy - Chairperson, Webmaster

NancyD - Co-Chairperson, Secretary

Lotus - Treasurer, Liaison

unfilled - Co-Webmaster

Motivation: In this extraordinary time of COVID-19 pandemic, SLAA Online totally missed the 2020 Officer election process, which normally occurs annually during May-June. During these extraordinary times of uncertainty and stress, it is believed that having continued stable Officer service/presence will provide a sense of stability, dependability and trust, thereby lowering the stress of the impact of these uncertain times on the #slaa Room.
