Motion from NancyD re: color of typed text in the SLAA chat room

Motion to add the following script to the OP scripts, available for Ops to use at their discretion:

"Please use standard black type when typing in the SLAA chat room. Colored type is more difficult to read on small screens such as phones. Thanks for your cooperation!"

Motion approved with friendly amendment of adding the words “Gentle Reminder” at the beginning of script 

New Business

Motion from cayotejoes re use of non-SLAA conference approved literature in meetings

Motion:

(1) That members avoid bringing AA (and other 12 step group materials) into SLAA, as a whole, unless it is reformatted and refocused on the s addiction (and not on alcoholism), and where an AA excerpt is utilized, that it be formatted in accordance with the SLAA format

(2) As a general guideline, that only SLAA conference approved literature be used at meetings.

Motion was seconded and presenter presented rationale for motion item, however it was past the time when the meeting should end. A motion was called to table the matter until next month. The motion to table was approved 8|7|1
