The Foundation of Anonymity

Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all the Traditions in the S.L.A.A. 12-Step program, ever reminding us to place principles before personalities.

However, this basic principle may in some cases be subject to the pressure of existing legal requirements on persons to report, which can also vary significantly between different states and countries.

Members are reminded to consider this possibility before speaking of specific illegal activities.
